Is there a musician with which you would gladly cooperate? Far too many to mention, but if I must, I would love to work with Keb Mo. He’s a nice guy and a great musician. I love Bob Brozman and hope to do some recording with him. I love Tony Bennett and wish I could sing a duet with him. I love Bonnie Raitt and have always wished she would produce me. |
CANDYE KANE is one of the most flamboyant and talented figures in international blues circles. Her latest album "White Trash Girl" is a earthly portion of Blues, which is taken completely from the way of life. XVIII. What was the nicest event in the course of your
childhood/
school days? Being the childrens choir director at my church. 19. Who was the dream of your youth? I loved the Fonz. Henry Winkler. 20. What was the most embarrassing experience during your musician's career? There are far too many to mention. One time, my dress ripped down the back just before going onstage. I had to wear a jacket throughout the show in 90 degree heat. 21. The biggest mistake of your life? There are too many to cover them all. I shot up heroin and hard drugs. I made poor parenting mistakes. I did bad porn movies like “Bouncin in the USA.” 22. The biggest triumph of your life? I raised two beautiful, smart, healthy, talented children while simultaneously having a musical career. 23. Your worst habit? I say what I think without thinking of the consequences. 24. Which thing does make fear to you mostly? Insects. I hate them. Also driving backwards makes me crazy. 25. Your life motto: Love yourself. Live your dreams and have a great time doing it. Since you are a rock magazine I will also add: My weirdest gig: playing between Motorhead and a bondage stripper act at the Le Mans Motorcycle race in Le Mans, France. What people don’t know about me: Gene Simmons from KISS asked me out several times but all he wanted to do was get a motel room and have sex, so I passed.
