Mit Chasing Shadows dem 4ten Empire Album legt die deutsch/ englisch/ amerikanische Verbindung nochmal einen drauf.

Abwechslungsreiche, eingängige Gitarrenriffs treffen auf Ausnahmesänger Doogie White der schon bei Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow sang und derzeit bei Yngwie Malmsteen unter Vertrag steht. Dazu eine Rhythmusabteilung, die ihres Gleichen sucht. Bassist Neil Murray (Ex Gary Moore, Ex Black Sabbath) und Neuverpflichtung Mike Terrana (Masterplan, Axel Rudi Pell) an den Drums. Da bleiben musikalisch keine Wünsche offen.

Und auch songtechnisch knüpft Chasing Shadows mit dem auf Doogie White zugeschneiderten Material nahtlos an den Vorgänger Raven Ride an. Das Album kombiniert die große Spielfreude und Erfahrung aller Beteiligten, eine moderne, druckvoll-schiebende Produktion aus dem Hause Munkes (Empire Studios) und ein fantastisch homogenes und enorm eingängiges wie auch eigenständiges Songmaterial, das in Sachen Härtegrad und Tempo ebenfalls eine Schippe dazupackt.

“Chasing Shadows” is the 4th album from EMPIRE, the brainchild of German guitarist Rolf Munkes. Varied, hooky guitar riffs meet with exceptional vocals from new singer Doogie White who previously tread the boards with Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow and is now the lead singer with guitar maestro Yngwie Malmsteen and Cornerstone.

Bass player extraordinaire Neil Murray (Ex Gary Moore, Ex Black Sabbath Ex Whitesnake) and monster drummer Mike Terrana (Masterplan, Axel Rudi Pell) are the formidable combination driving this new album and giving a masterclass in their performances as a result.

”Chasing Shadows” is a logical development from its predecessor “Raven Ride”. All the songs are perfect for Doogie White, replacing Tony Martin, to stamp his brand of heavy rock singing over.
