Das erste Album, welches auf dem neuen Label Pure Rock Records (ein Sublabel von Pure Steel Records) erscheint, stammt von den Salzburgern SPEED LIMIT. Die 1979 gegründete Melodic Hard Rock/Metal-Band konnte in den 80ern und frühen 90ern bereits Erfolge mit den beiden Longplayern „Unchained“ (1986) und „Perfect Inspiration“ (1992), sowie der EP „Prophecy“ (1988) einfahren, und schafften es mit der Single „Lady“ in 7 europäischen Ländern in die Charts. Zwischen 1994 und 2008 war die Band aufgelöst, doch nur zwei Jahre nach der Wiedervereinigung sind die Österreicher wieder mit einem starken Album, das von dem Quintett in Zusammenarbeit mit Produzent Wolf Krug vollendet wurde, am Start. Der neue Zehntracker bietet fett produzierten, rifforientierten und ohrwurmtauglichen, hin und wieder auch leicht AOR-lastigen und melodischen Hard Rock, der ebenso gelegentlich in Richtung Heavy Metal schielt, jedoch nie zu auffällig in jene Regionen vordringt. Ausgeklügelte Gitarrenleads und ein klarer, ausdrucksstarker Gesang dominieren auf „Moneyshot“ das Geschehen, doch auch die Drums haben einen fetten Punch. Alte Fans dürfen sich außerdem an einer Neueinspielung des „Prophecy“-Tracks „Lady“ erfreuen.

The first album, which will be released through the label Pure Rock Records (a sublabel of Pure Steel Records) comes from SPEED LIMIT, originally from Salzburg. Founded in 1979, the melodic Hard Rock/Metal-Band got some good resonances in the 80s and early 90s with the two long-players "Unchained"(1986) and "Perfect Inspiration" (1992), also with the EP "Prophecy"(1988) and the single “Lady”, which entered the charts in 7 European countries. Between 1994 and 2008 the band was dissolved, but only two years after the reunion, the Austrians are back with a strong album, which was completed by the quintet in cooperation with producer Wolf Krug. The new ten-track-piece offers fat produced, rifforientiated, suitable, catchy and even slightly AOR/Hard Rock, that goes sometimes in the direction of Heavy Metal, but never penetrate too obviously into those regions. Sophisticated guitar leads and clear, powerful vocals dominate on "Moneyshot", also the drums have a good punch. Old fans may also enjoy a new recording of "Prophecy" tracks "Lady". Melodic, but also heavy and catchy: The main features, that makes the reunion album of this Austrians authentically and original!
